There are days I want to share it all. And then, there are days I start #ThePurge and delete “friends” and photos from all avenues of social media. I, like I’m sure many of you, get overwhelmed with social media: selfies on Instagram, a witty quote on Twitter, and stories on Facebook, Snapchat, WhatsApp, and Instagram! How can anyone keep up?

Well, in the spirit of this post, my dog just jumped on me while I’m on the couch writing this, and that’s the point: sometimes we spend too much time sharing what we want people to believe that we actually forget to live! We’ve got to disconnect from social media and start practicing mindfulness. Look up, be present, and cuddle your fur babies! Oops, that’s what I should be doing.

It’s a subtle reminder that what’s important is infront of me and not on my phone.
